John E. Fleck Sr. John E. Fleck Sr., 63, of Bloomington passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at his residence. Born, March 19, 1946 in Yonkers NY, he was the son of Edward M. and Dorothy E. (Thomas) Fleck. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family. He also enjoyed riding theme park roller coasters with his grandson Thomas J. Fleck. He was a signal maintainer for CSX railroad for 28 years, and he was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Susan M. (Engelhard) Fleck, two sons, John E. Fleck Jr., Thomas R. Fleck, one daughter, Bonnie M. Fleck, four grandchildren, Thomas J. Fleck, Amanda Ramey, Adam M. Cook, and Addison M. Cook all of Bloomington, one sister, Peggy Heaton (Dennis) of Bedford, one brother-in-law Larry K. Deckard of Bloomington, and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Deckard. Services will be 7:00pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401. Visitation will be 3-7pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 6415 Castleway W. Dr. Suite 114, Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Sue, Eddie, Tom & Bonnie,
I still can't believe this..I shed my share of tears when I heard about John's passing. Him and I developed quite a relationship over the years, I loved him like a Dad, and I'll miss him sorely for the rest of my life. I wish for all of you the memories of all the happy times and that those memories will help to take the edge off the pain of losing your great Father, and Husband. God bless and be with all of you.

I'm sorry to hear about john.I had a lot of fun when I there .He took me groundhog hunting & showed me how to drive a stick shift.I'm sure he will be sorely miss. Larry Thomas.
