F. Wayne Cox, 74, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Garden Villa. Born, July 11, 1935 in Scottsville, KY, he was the son of Truman and Audrey (Pruitt) Cox. Wayne was a self-employed trucker and also worked for Gibson Trucking Inc. Survivors include his mother, Audrey (Pruitt) Cox, two sisters, Jessica Hardcastle, Barbara Douglas and her husband Lee all of Scottsville, KY, three step-daughters, Shelba Ooley and her husband Harold, Gloria Rector and her husband Mike, Rhea May and her husband Rick all of Bloomington, one step-son, Del Haywood and his wife Sherron of Greenwood, several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda B. Cox (2009), his father, and a brother, Charles Cox. Services will be 1:30pm Friday, March 26, 2010 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401, with Pastor Andrew King officiating. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:30pm Friday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway W. Dr. Suite 114 Indianapolis, IN 46250.
