My dear family, I know your hearts are heavy today as you say farewell to one of the most precious ladies God has ever placed upon this earth. Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt--she filled all of these roles to the fullest and for that reason, she will be missed dearly. I not only loved Aunt Nell because she was my aunt, but because she was such a dear, dear sister to my father and a rock in the Reed family. Know that we are thinking of you today, wishing we could be there for you in some way. You are in our prayers. As you find yourself thinking of her in the difficult weeks to come, take comfort in the words of Paul the Apostle: "But I do not want you to be ignorant brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." - I Thes. 4: 13-14
We love you!

Bessie, Jr. and Ben -

My thoughts are with you and your family today. I'm sorry I can't be there today to tell you in person. One of my favorite memories of Aunt Nellie was her beautiful garden and rhubarb patch. She would give my mom rhubarb and how delicious it was.

Aunt Emma asked me to also let you know how sad she was to hear of Aunt Nellie's passing. She had hoped to come down this summer to visit. She isn't able to come to Bloomington right now.

With prayers for you -

Nellie and Clifford were my parents best friends.

I will always remember Nellie's beautiful smile, and the many times our families got together for cards. And then there was the time my sister and I got chiggers,in Nellie's back yard, rolling down the hill over and over again, until we got to dizzy to stand up.

I will always remember you Nellie.

Love,

Diana Davidson and all the Dixon Family

My grandparents were friends of Nellie's. I remember my mom and I taking my grandmother, Truly Dixon, over to see Nellie at her house on Vernal Pike. She was the sweetest women. My grandmother has now passed and I will miss both of them. My prayers to the family.
