Please accept my condolences for your mother's death. What a great lady. Seeing her picture in the Marion Chronicle Tribune obituary brought back a lot of memories. It has been a very long time since we've had contact with you and your family but I remember how friendly and fun your folks were. If I'm remembering correctly, when we were kids your dad was the "vitamin man." We will pray for you and your family.

Don, as I read about your mom I learn about the wonderful woman she was and know from where you received your caring, considerate and generous spirit. I am sorry we are not able to be with you during this difficult time but pray that the promises in God's word be your hope today, your peace tomorrow and your comfort always.
With our sincere sympathy,
Kim & Roy
I remember all those many winter days, when the ponds were frozen, your Mom would open the door and her house with a smile, to 10, 15, 20 of us,with all of our gear and clutter, so that we could ice skate on the ponds near your home and act like it was nothing. Having now raised my own kids it wasn't something that every one is prepared to do, but your Mom did it often and happily and generously. We probably never thanked her enough but hopefully she knew, that we knew, it was a very special thing to do and we loved her for it.

I'm praying with you and for you as I think kind thoughts of your Mom. I am enjoying many happy memories of the Schramm family while we were growing up in Marion, Indiana.
Helen and Jim Organ had always prayed that they would share being "in laws" with your parents. Thank God Ruth and Harry, let alone BK, were spared my trauma and drama!
Today I drove by Ruth's home on Candlewood and then over to your childhood home off Quary Rd. We had fun parties in the garage and Ice Skating bonfires at the pond.
I send loving thoughts of Harry, Ruth and ya'll.

I am saddened to hear about your motherâs passing. It was an honor to have worked with you and your mother during her move to Meadowood in 2007. She enjoyed all the hard work the two of you did to make this transition as easy and as comfortable as possible for her. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and took pleasure in telling stories as I hung photos and placed other treasures around her apartment. I looked forward to her stories in each of my subsequent visits. Her generosity was unbounded as she permitted her unit to be a showcase for others moving to Meadowood. Her spirit touched many people in Bloomington as it has mine. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy,
Becky Gavin
