Helen L. “Penny” Risk, 86, of Bloomington, died on Sunday at Garden Villa. Helen was born on Thursday August 9, 1923 in Lawrence County and was the daughter of Arthur C. and Mary M. (George) Pennington. She had worked as a clerk at the IU Bookstore. Survivors include one daughter Michelle Chrisman of Albuquerque, NM, one son Michael Rezik of Colorado, one grandson Scott Rezik, one sister Dorothy Wilson and her husband Bill of Bloomington, one sister-in-law, Maude Pennington of Greensburg, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Pennington and Gene Pennington. Graveside services will be today at 10:00 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford with Rev. Jim Cain officiating. The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington is handling arrangements.
