In Memory Of
11/19/1938 - 07/27/2010
Betty Sue Rush, 71, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born, November 19, 1938 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Elmer Russell and Mable M. (Pipher) Roberts.
Betty was a clerk at Otis Elevator for 35 years before retiring in 1999.
She was our mother and best friend, never putting anything or anyone above the needs of her children and grandchildren including her own. She gave her children more love and devotion than they could ever return. It was an honor having her as our mother, and although our hearts are broken, we know she is with our loving father and at peace which she more than deserves.
Survivors include three children, Randy Duncan of Bedford, Michael Duncan and his partner, Jeff Scofield of Bloomington, Susan Rush-Chambers and her husband Brandon of Ellettsville, grandchildren, Sarah Renae Masterson, Dylan Makenzie Marie Chambers, and Boston DeLanie Jo Chambers, one sister, Linda Perry and her husband Gene of Bedford, and her best friend Phyllis Rogers of Bloomington.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, DeWayne R. Rush (2004), her parents, and four siblings, Edward Lee Roberts, Jerry Roberts, Elmer Roberts Jr. and Patricia Roberts-Edwards.
Services will be 2:00pm Friday, July 30, 2010 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401, with Pastor John Miller officiating.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Thursday and 1-2pm Friday at The Funeral Chapel, with burial at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2117 Bloomington, IN 47402.

I was sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Although I didn't know Betty all that well, I always liked her.
I was just at Eddie's grave yesterday, didn't realize he was in Beech Grove till I happened upon it while looking for another grave. I still miss Eddie, he was a good friend to me.
I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Much Love & Many Blessings to all of you.
