William L. “Bill” Briles, 67, of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Golden Living Center. Bill was born on September 29, 1944 in Linton and was the son of William Edgar and Ruth (Shoufler) Briles.
Bill was a 1962 graduate of Bloomington High School and had worked for 35 years at RCA and later retired from Indiana University. He also worked the VIP and Press Rooms at IU Football and Basketball games. He was an avid golfer and loved to bowl. Bill was an Army Veteran having served in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Burton Woolery Post #18, Moose Lodge #1081 and he had attended Pentecostal Faith Assembly.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years Millie Briles of Bloomington, one son Ty Briles of Bloomington, one sister Carole Briles of Ellettsville, two brothers Harold Briles (Deloris) of Ellettsville and Roy Briles (Lorna) of Bloomington, 2 nieces and 3nephews, 3 brothers-in-law Steve Hardin of Maryland, Ric Hardin of Bloomington and Tim Hardin of Noblesville and his uncle John Briles (Dee) of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 10:00 am Saturday June 2, 2012 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday June 1, 2012 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel.

So sorry for your loss. Worked with Bill for many years with him at RCA & IU. Will always remember his crazy little laugh. May God keep you under his wing.
