In Memory Of
Wilma J. "Ma" Dugan
10/20/1926 - 06/01/2012

Wilma J. Wilma J. “Ma” Dugan, 85, of Bloomington passed away Friday, June 01, 2012 at Garden Villa. Born October 20, 1926 in Dugger, IN, she was the daughter of John and Nellie Brewer. Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed watching Bloomington High School South Athletics, where her voice could always be heard. She was such a fun loving and outgoing person all her life. Supporting kids, on any team (not just Bloomington teams) was so important to her. Several years ago, she was presented with the game ball from a state championship baseball game that took place up north. She did not know anyone on this team, but made it known who she was supporting. From the time her grandsons Ty and Kyle, began playing sports she very rarely missed any of the games. There were times, when she led cheers with the cheerleaders. These were the kinds of things that made Wilma the kind of person she was. Wilma was an usher for many Indiana University sporting events and worked as a bookkeeper for Cowden Trucking. She will be missed by her family and many people in the community. Survivors include two sons, Phil Fred Dugan, Edward Lee “Ed” Dugan, two grandsons, Ty Dugan, Kyle Dugan and one granddaughter, Stormy Dawn Dugan all of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Loren “Sissy” Gray, Hilda Gladdings, Bonnie Meeks, Ruth Madison, two brothers, Claude Brewer, Charles “Romp” Brewer and a brother-in-law, Clifford Elroy Dugan. Services will be 7:00pm Monday, June 4, 2012 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington. Mark Fletcher will officiate. Visitation will be 4-7pm on Monday at The Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bloomington High School South Athletics Department, 1965 S. Walnut St. Bloomington, IN 47401.

Wilma June was one of a kind. She was one of my mom's favorite people. You always knew when Wilma June arrived at any family reunion by that one of a kind voice. I will always remember she always gave you a hug and told you she loved you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and so sorry I can not be there. I can just see her and mom together along with all those other Brewers and Gilhams that have gone on before rejoicing at being together again.
