Evalou Ellen “Ellie” McConnell, 62, of Bedford, passed away on Monday at IU Health Bloomington Hospital surrounded by her family. Evalou was born on May 15, 1950, in Bloomington, and was the daughter of Merle V. and Mary C. (Altop) McConnell. She was retired from Cook, Inc. After retirement, she obtained her Real Estate License and worked for F.C. Tucker and other agencies in Bloomington. She recently worked at the American Red Cross in Bedford and was a member of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary. She would see good in everyone she met and devoted her life to spending time with her family. She loved watching her grandchildren sing karaoke. Survivors include her son, Anthony “Tony” Eads of Bloomington, and grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Jordan, Jared, Chloe, and Nichelle. Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Paul McConnell. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
