Robert Lowell Johnson, 81, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Monroe Hospital.
Born, October 12, 1928 in Bloomington, he was the son of Lowell and Mary (Crum) Johnson.
Robert was the owner/proprietor of Johnson Hardware and Supply in Bedford and Bloomington.
He was an Evangelist for 30 years and a member of the Hillside Church of Christ in Bloomington.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Phyllis A. (Duncan) Johnson of Bloomington, two sons, Thomas M. Johnson and his wife Georgia of Bloomington, Philip L. Johnson of Bedford, sister, Jean Galyan and her husband Charles Galyan of Bloomington, five grandchildren Ben, Jennifer, Erica, Alexis, Bryant, and four great- grandchildren, Corbin, Jasper, Brinna and Lillian
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Monty L. Johnson.
Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401 with Brother Steve Watts officiating.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Please know that Bob was the best employer I ever had and remember the good times. I loved working at Johnson Hardware and all the people there were like a family that took me in right after high school and helped me to grow.
